Sparrow Peak Acacia comes in multiple color choices including Natural or pre-stained in one of four colors – Honey, Spice, Espresso or Ebony. Acacia wood is one of the most robust wood species in the world and is extremely resistant.
- Appearance & Color: Has a medium to dark brown heartwood with sharply demarcated sapwood
- Grain & Texture: Figured grain patterns such as curl, commonly called “ringed”, are also seen
- Machinability: Produces good results with hand or machine tools
- Finishing: Takes all finishes well, pigmented stains will bring out the grain nicely

Each countertop is unique with naturally occurring variations in color, grain patterns and the organic features of real wood.

The Sparrow Peak Stained Acacia countertops arrive pre-stained and ready to finish with your choice of sealers. Please remember to seal top, bottom and all edges within 48 hours of removing the countertops from the packaging.
If you have custom cut any areas of the countertops or otherwise need touchup stain, we recommend the colors below for the best match. For best results, test a small area to ensure the color matching is to your satisfaction before proceeding.

Stained Acacia Butcher Block Safety Testing
We have conducted EN 71-3:2019 Migration of Elements test which is a European test that is used to test for heavy metals including in children’s toys as well as the US FDA-21 CFR 175.300 test which is for coatings that will be in contact with foods. In all tests conducted, our stained Acacia passed being below the standard limits. For all of our countertops, they are required to have a final sealer applied prior to use to protect them from moisture gain and loss so the sealer that you chose you should also evaluate if it meets your needs if food will come in contact with it.
